*Location:* *White Plains, NY* Major Purpose of Job: • Implement various solutions arising out of the large data processing over various NoSQL, Hadoop, and MPP-based products • Active participation in the various Architecture and design calls with Big Data customers • Work with Sr. Architects and providing implementation details to offshore Essential Job Functions: • Hands on lead development role focused on creating big data and analytics solutions for Digital channel • Coding of mission critical components • Analyse business and functional requirements and contribute to IT solution • Participate in design reviews; provide input to the design recommendations • Participate in project planning sessions with project managers, business analysts and team members Requirements: Skill Requirements • Hadoop Development and Administrative experience • Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and technologies in Big Data/Cloudera Hadoop experience • Technical and functional knowledge of the Hadoop ecosystem *• Design and develop HDFS-based solutions in Hive* *• Programming using Hive QL to generate reports* *• Writing Scoop Jobs to Import/Export data from Hadoop* *• Programming using Shell script/Python to create automation scripts* *• Must have backend experience and be able to use MapReduce, Spark. Hive, HBASE.
