*Title: Sr. Electrical Engineer*
*Location: Monroe, NC*

*Experience / Technical Skills:*
- Experience designing and developing embedded electronic systems for
commercial, Industrial, and or military products is required.
- Experience designing electronics to comply with FCC / IC, UL, CSA,
ATEX and IECEx.
- Experience designing intrinsically safe electronics for hazardous
locations is a significant plus.
- Senior level engineering understanding of electrical schematic design,
circuit simulations and multi-layer PCB layouts
- Ex troubleshooting skills – strong logical thinker and passionate and
create problem solver is a must.
- Work experience with PCB manufacturer and assembly houses to create
manufacturable and testable PCBs.
- Experience with low noise, small signal manipulation (amplifying,
filtering, scaling, converting, A/D, D/A), and micro-controller peripheral
circuit design.
- Experience with AC-DC and DC-DC power supply design.
- Understanding micro-controller firmware and the ability to provide
support to firmware and software engineers for signal detection and system
algorithm development is preferred.
- Previous experience designing security into products through physical
breach protection as well as network device security through firmware
development to safeguard the product against IoT threat vectors is a
significant plus.
- Strong leadership, interpersonal, and teamwork affinity – willing to
mentor junior engineers on the team.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple priorities
simultaneously and meet critical deadlines in a fast-paced environment is
required.
- This is a senior level position and the expectation is the selected
candidate will take high level direction and autonomously negotiate the
details of the designs with little or no supervision required.
- As a senior engineering, the expectation is the selected candidate
will foster teamwork and excellence while mentoring to more junior level
engineers.
- Experience providing written technical specifications in a clear and
unambiguous fashion.
- Proficient with the English language, with excellent verbal and
written communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to professionally represent the company to both
internal and external contacts -
- Internal Contacts: Marketing Team, Design Engineering, Test
Engineering, Test Technicians, Project Managers, Quality
Engineers, Service
Department, and Manufacturing
- External Contacts: Suppliers, Technical Partners, NRTL labs, and
End Customers
