Title: AS400 Programmer/Analyst Location: Irvine, CA Duration : 6 Months *Job Description* Required: · 7+ years with AS400 programming and design (must have been working with it recently) · RPG (ILE and Free) Programming experience · Very strong SQL. Preferably embedded · Strong analytical skills and be able to create BRD and functional and technical design. · Knowledge of Structured Systems Analysis and Design. · Stored procedures · Good documentation, data modeling, database design, and system design/architecture skills · Knowledge of Connectivity to PC and Internet functions, Web technologies, OO Analysis and Design (RUP and UML) and OOP a plus. · Able to talk to business units to gather requirements. · Interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a team environment are required. · Technology Stack: · Under limited direction of the Project Manager, perform the functions of a Team Leader on small projects. · Gather user requirements. · Develop design specification. · Program development. · Create test plans, test cases and perform unit, integration and parallel testing of all processes. · Coordinate testing with client and verify accuracy of test results. · Perform quality control of programs and system changes prior to implementation. · Implement project installation to production · Diagnose and troubleshoot daily operations, programs and system problems. · Provide support to AS400 operational staff for error resolution · Gain a working knowledge of users' tasks and interaction with AS/400 programs. · Develop and enhance programs according to user specifications. · Promote new programming to the production environments. · Assist in documenting technical specifications for program changes. · Must Haves: *RPG ILE, Free RPG, CLLE, Websphere, Microsoft office, Excel, VISIO, DBU/400,EZ VIEW, SQL, DB2, CLP, QUERY/400, Robot IBM job scheduler, Journals Management, Data Mirror, Change management Turnover, Hawkeye, IBM Navigator, Client Access.
