Hi Francois,
regarding the location, you can specify it in the web-app element:
<web-app id='/' document-directory='bar'>
<work-dir>/your/work_dir/path</work-dir>
...
Configuring deletion / keeping of the work-dir - I don't think that's
possible via normal configuration, but maybe someone else can give a hint.
