For us, migrating from 2.1 to 3.0 took longer than expected.
First you need to restructure your resin.conf and possibly web.xml (as
Resin 3.0 is much more picky about the order of the tags).
You need to make sure rtexprvalue is provided in your TLDs when
appropriate, as currently discussed in a parallell thread.
We also had an issue with JDOM and Resin XML. JDOM has since long been
patched in CVS with my fix for that problem, but there still has not
been a new release. So make sure to use JDOM from CVS if you use JDOM
and Resin XML.
If you are using Apache JSTL implementations (standard.jar), as we did
to have portable EL inside our custom tags, you must remove the TLDs
from inside the JAR.
(There also was an issue with Barcode4J in our case)

Good luck.

 /Mattias
