Position : Web/UI Graphic Designer Location : Raleigh, NC Duration : 2+ Month Contract Rate:$40/hr C2C Job Description: Skills & Attributes: The ideal candidate will have strong web design experience. In addition the ideal candidate will be experienced working with graphic design tools and working in distributed, collaborative development teams. The ideal candidate will also possess a portfolio of web sites and graphic design work demonstrating their experience in building “Best of Breed” web 2.0 interfaces, as well as, a terrific work ethic. Basic Qualifications BA/BS in graphic design, digital design, fine arts, human-computer interaction, computer science or related field. 5+ years building professional complex work-flow based commercial applications for a web company or interactive agency. 3+ years producing table-less, XHTML, standards compliant cross-browser, and gracefully degrading web user interfaces. Superior knowledge of current web-design trends and techniques, a strong online portfolio displaying user-centered design. Advanced knowledge of JavaScript, dynamic HTML, CSS, DOM and of digital imaging and illustration. Demonstrated experience with cross-browser and cross-platform issues (IE, Firefox, Safari, etc.) Understanding of WYSIWYG editors or blogging tools. Knowledge of best practices in the fields of information architecture, user experience and interaction design. Strong analytical ability and critical thinking. Must be able to adapt quickly to new technologies. Preferences Experience designing web applications that have been successfully deployed for major Enterprise customer(s).
