will partner with business owners, other IT professionals and  stakeholders to 
plan and execute all aspects of complex, technical and high profile projects 
utilizing industry standard project management best practices, business 
processes and tools.  <br></p> <p>The Senior Technical Project will be expected 
to provide timely and accurate status reporting to all stakeholders, as well as 
execute the following critical activities: •    Proactively identify and 
mitigate project risks and issues  <br>•    Manage project resources,

assurance best practices  <br>•    Manage project budget, schedule and 
scope<br>•    Ensure applicable project documentation is complete, current, and 
stored appropriately</p> <p>  A Senior Technical Project Manager is needed to 
plan and drive the execution of (ABC) and (VSP) agency technical initiatives.  
It is anticipated that this role will lead ABC efforts from the start date 
until the end of February 2018, then transition to VSP.  This candidate will 
work at VITA.  </p> <p>The ideal candidate will possess these general 
knowledge, skills and abilities:</p> <p>•    Strong business, technical and 
analytical skills<br>•    Attention to detail and logical thinking<br>•    
Ability to facilitate technical project meetings and translate outcome into 
project schedules<br>•    Ability to oversee and track progress, translating 
outcomes into executive briefings and weekly status reports<br>•    Clear, 
concise and diplomatic written/verbal communication skills across all 
levels<br>•    Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and 
multi-tasking skills<br>•    Excellent presentation and customer service skills 
•    Self-motivated team player, able to work cooperatively in a team 
environment<br>•    Ability to work under pressure, prioritize and meet 
deadlines when required<br>•    Effectively manage and solve complex business 
and technical problems •    Aptitude for learning new technologies,

(5 – 10 Years): </strong><br></p> <p>•    Project Management experience<br>•    
Multi-million dollar budget management experience<br>•    MS Project 
experience, inclusive of 3rd party vendor schedule integration<br>•    
Leadership of cross functional, matrixed teams<br>•    Current Project 
Management Professional (PMP) or possess VITA’s PM certification<br>•    
Experience managing large enterprise-wide multi-year complex projects<br>•

<p><strong>Highly Desirable Skills and Experience: </strong><br></p> <p>•    
Solid technical background, with understanding or hands-on experience in IT 
Infrastructure Management (e.g. systems, network, storage) initial

practices inclusive of risk management, security assessments and threat 
detection software<br>•    Familiarity with MS Exchange, Office 365 and MS 
SharePoint<br>•    Knowledge of Help Desk functions (e.g. set up, operational
