<p><br></p> <p>The VCR is a partner in statewide activities to promote cancer
prevention, early detection, and successful treatment and care. The cancer
information collected by the VCR describes the impact of cancer in Virginia and
is used to assist cancer control and prevention programs and initiatives.
Registry Plus is a suite of CDC applications used by the VCR program to perform
its functions and store data. <br></p>
<p>Speicific Tasks Include <br></p>
<p></p>
<ul> <li>Problem resolution and coordination for all RegistryPlus modules
(WebPlus, CRSPlus, PrepPlus, AbstractPlus, eMarC).</li> <li>Installing and
managing promotion of software and “data edits” in the RegistryPlus
environments.</li> <li>Coordinating RegistryPlus technical issues with
CDC.</li> <li>Documenting (and maintaining documentation) of the RegistryPlus
technical environment.</li> <li>Supporting RegistryPlus software on local
desktop workstations (as needed).</li> <li>Documenting and updating Registry
Plus issues in HP Quality Center.</li> <li>Managing and evaluating the overall
RegistryPlus technical environment including server configurations and
configuration changes.</li> <li>Coordinating technical issues and agency work
requests (related to RegistryPlus) with the VITA/NG.</li> <li>Evaluating new
RegistryPlus software options (i.e. CRSPlus/.Net).</li> </ul>
<ul><li>Address issues with running Client/Server CDC application</li></ul>
<ul><li>Geo-code cases with Lat./Long. based upon the street address. o A text
file is given to Epi., they return it with the geocoding for us to load into
the database and update the cases.</li></ul>
<p></p>
<p>· Load Death Cases<br>· Ad-hoc SQL support<br>o Custom
views for reports<br>o Provide SQL so that CR can run bulk updates.<br>§ SQL
is based upon errors generated by CDC edits.<br>o Fix customer created
SQL.<br>· Terminal server overview<br>· Server overview<br>·
Database review for missing indexes<br>Provide technical information
needed for security risk assessments related to RegistryPlus.</p>
