AND RESPONSIBILITIES:</strong></p> <p>SQL Server DBA - 3 mo assignment 
(*contract assignment duration is firm 90 days) with possibility of Full time 
conversion (no guarantees, must apply and go thru normal hiring process for 
Workers Comp). <br></p> <p><strong>Before submitting please make sure your 
candidate is interested and eligible to convert to FTE after 90 days. Salary 
conversion range: $74K -90K with full benefits.  </strong></p> <p>The  
Commission is seeking a SQL Svr  Database Administrator to work within the 
database team to administer databases and provide database or software changes 
to all environments as appropriate.  </p> <p>The DBA will also work within the 
database team to apply upgrades and fixes to software and servers and migrate 
to new versions as appropriate. The See below for details tasks may include 
analysis, design, and creation of complex stored procedures. Additionally, the 
Database Administrator will be responsible for creating SSRS reports, and SSIS 
Packages.  </p> <p>Other See below for details tasks can include performance 
tuning of SQL queries; database optimization, proactively monitoring systems 
for optimum performance, tuning, and capacity constraints; production support 
tasks for data changes and ad-hoc reports as necessary.  The Database 
Administrator will work with the DBA team to administer databases and provides 
database changes at all levels/across all environments; apply upgrades, fixes, 
and migration to new versions as appropriate; provide data assurance by 
documenting and implementing data security requirements; and perform and plan 
disaster recovery (backups and testing of backups) strategies.  Must pass 
criminal background check.</p> <p><strong>Requirements</strong>:<br></p> <ul> 
<li>Graduation from a four-year higher education institution, with a BA or BS 
degree. The education major should be in computer science, information systems, 
or a related field unless the candidate has equivalent in training and/or 
experience. </li> <li>Significant knowledge, ability, and experience in 
developing SSRS reports, SSIS Packages and stored procedures. </li> <li> 
Significant knowledge and experience of SQLServer versions 2008 to 2014.  </li> 
<li>Significant knowledge of many of the following: T-SQL; performance 
optimization methods; database security; SQL Table Partitioning; Stored 
Procedures; Triggers; SSIS/DTS/EDI/ETL; and Windows 2008 to 20012R2 server 
Administration.    </li> <li>Experience working with SQL Server using Java/J2EE 
connection pooling is a plus.  Significant experience working with Business 
Systems Analysts, end-users, and Project Managers and other technical staff on 
small technical projects.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Preferred 
Certifications:</strong></p> <p> MCSA: Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate; 
MCSE: Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert; MCITP: Database Administrator.</p>
