This is a hybrid role that blends smart, innovative thinking with the 
ability to review, analyze and evaluate business systems and user needs 
with the goal of extrapolating and documenting requirements, defining scope 
and objectives and formulating requirements, business processes ad flows to 
achieve overall project and business goals.

 

The Business Analyst will work collaboratively with other team members to 
analyze and capture high-level, multi-channel strategies for our clients, 
but will also be expected to work independently, taking disparate inputs 
(ideas, concepts, conversations, whiteboard sessions, PowerPoint decks, 
flow charts, architecture diagrams, napkin sketches, process diagrams, user 
manuals, etc.) and synthesizing them into business and functional 
requirements. The ideal candidate moves fluidly between the strategy, UX, 
creative, business and technology teams (internal, partner and client-side) 
and able to communicate effectively across disciplines to ensure each team 
has the information needed and is able to communicate requirements and 
intent to the other teams. This role is critical to help facilitate and 
articulate the vision of our team and our clients, so we can collectively 
design and execute the best solution to satisfy the client’s business 
objectives ensuring that the client’s end users are delighted in every 
interaction with the final solution. 

 

The individual has a good eye for scope, leveraging value and feasibility 
while guiding stakeholders and project team members toward a set of 
requirements that can actually be implemented. The BA works to build 
consensus among client stakeholders but also within the project team – they 
are the """"glue"""" that helps the PM keep projects moving smoothly and 
efficiently and can resolve conflicts essential to help align business, UX, 
and technical objectives and constraints.

 

This position is client facing and requires strong presentation, research, 
interview and analytical skills. The BA can participate in as well as 
facilitate primary research/stakeholder interviews and workshop sessions 
and speak strategy, and design """" to represent all teams when helping 
gain consensus and resolve conflicts. 

 

The most suitable fit for this BA role would be a person that has worked in 
automotive service and/or retail and used to supporting portal for Auto 
Dealers, Auto Retailers or franchisee. 

 

Responsibilities 

 

• Determine business objectives by studying business functions; gathering 
information; evaluating output requirements and formats

• Construct workflow charts and diagrams; studying system capabilities; 
writing specifications

• Identifying and creating business requirements

• Identifying current state business process and creating future state 
business process flows

• Identifying and creating the business rules associated to the flows

• Evaluating business processes, anticipating requirements, uncovering 
areas for improvement, and developing and implementing solutions.

• Leading ongoing reviews of business processes and developing optimization 
strategies.

• Identifying and creating reporting requirements

• Contribute to the creation of customer journeys, user personas, and 
information architecture as the voice of both the business and technical 
stakeholders.

• Conducting meetings and presentations to share ideas and findings.

• Performing requirements analysis.

• Documenting and communicating the results of your efforts.

• Effectively communicating your insights and plans to cross-functional 
team members and management.

• Gathering critical information from meetings, workshops, and primary 
research interviews with various stakeholders and producing efficient 
concise requirements and specifications.

• Working closely with clients and internal project teams.

• Providing leadership, training, coaching, and guidance to junior staff.

• Ensuring solutions meet business needs and requirements.

• Developing and performing user acceptance testing.

• Updating, implementing and maintaining procedures.

• Prioritizing initiatives based on business needs and requirements.

• Serving as a liaison between stakeholders and users.

• Managing competing resources and priorities.

  

Qualifications 

• A minimum of 5 years’ experience in business analysis or a related field.

• Exceptional analytical and conceptual thinking skills.

• The ability to influence stakeholders and work closely with them to 
determine acceptable solutions.

• Some technical skills.

• Excellent documentation skills.

• Fundamental analytical and conceptual thinking skills.

• Experience creating detailed reports and giving presentations.

• Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook.

• A track record of following through on commitments.

• Excellent planning, organizational, and time management skills.

• Experience leading and developing top performing teams.

• A history of leading Business Analysis and supporting successful projects.

• Exhibit strong ability to identify and communicate a client’s “story” 
through clear and concise business, technical, and user requirements

• Show knowledge and appreciation for data visualization and its impact on 
business decisions and communications across teams

• Contribute creative ideas to further the project work and direction of 
client projects

• Demonstrate excellent time management skills including the ability to 
work simultaneously across several projects and with distributed teams

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and demanding environment

• Strong relationship management skills – both internal and client facing

• Excellent interpersonal, organization and written communication skills

• Compelling presenter and storyteller who asks plenty of sharp questions
