Job Description
Functional Title Release Engineer
• 6-8 years of hands on experience on release management
activities.
• Strong knowledge of ITIL process.
• Strong troubleshooting skills on ASP.net, web and windows
application, specially issues related to deployment.
• Good understanding of IIS, ASP.NET web app configuration and
logging.
• Hand on experience with Automated deployment tool like Octopus.
• Fluency in English language – spoken and written.
• Understand release deployment plan.
• Hands on experience in supporting applications running on
Windows OS.
• Work closely with Development teams to keep track of
projects/new initiatives, timelines and plan and organize the deployment
strategy accordingly.
• Implement, verify release in lower and production environment.
• Time to time status reporting on the release implementation to
Release Manager.
• Execute daily deployments or assign as needed.
• Environment synchronization & stand up.
• Troubleshoot issues from previous day deployments through
looking into nightly Sanity/Gatekeeper communication and fix non-deployment
related issues.
• Ultimately responsible to ensure all issues escalated around
test environments are handled.
• Serve as escalation point during any and all release
activities.
• Good to have knowledge on developing custom scripts in Power
Shell to automate deployment activities.
