We are looking for a Solutions Delivery Engineer to help drive the development of *VMware’s Validated Designs (VVD) and VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF). *The Integrated Systems business unit responsible for VCF and VVD is delivering on a vision to simplify the deployment, operation and consumption of an increasing set of integrated cloud services across Private, Public and Hybrid Cloud. Enabling our customers to modernize their data centers while leveraging integrated hybrid cloud SaaS based offerings from VMware and our partners. VCF and VVD lead the industry in providing prescriptive validated designs, guidance and automation for integrated SDDC infrastructure (compute, storage, networking and security), cloud management services and operations to run legacy enterprise and next generation cloud applications in both private and public cloud environments. You should have a proven record of delivering fully validated on-premise infrastructure or cloud based solutions, excellent written communication skills and a strength in developing and delivering test automation to increase system test coverage and product quality. *Job Responsibilities:* - Collaborate with Product Management and Solutions Architects to understand new product offerings being developed. - Understand how new products, features, services and operational workflows fit into the existing solution offerings and ask the tough questions that our customers will need answers to. - Work in multi-functional agile team to regularly experiment, iterate, and deliver on new product objectives with an end-to-end responsibility for your team's goals. - Identify and develop new areas of test automation that replicate the customer user experience and exercise our written guidance, in order to significantly reduce our need for ongoing manual testing. - Collaborate with Product Management, Architects, Inter-Operability and System Test teams to ensure that we are producing the highest quality solutions and SDDC/Cloud platform. - Work with other Engineers in test across the organization to share knowledge and improve your skills. - Evaluate and adopt new tools and practices to help improve the quality of the product and the health of the team. - Obsess over quality in the product you create, and the automation code you write. - Advance your technical and interpersonal skills in an environment that looks to expand them. - Integrate and enhance the existing test automation framework to support solutions guidance testing. *Job Requirements:* - Build, operate and evolve the test and development of VVD and VCF solutions guidance as part of a Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery pipeline. - Experience deploying software and integrating with automated build tools. - Strong understanding of QA practices and approaches, including CI/CD practices.. - Strong communication and problem-solving skills. - Aptitude to stay current with all existing VMware technologies or related (i.e. Software Defined Datacenter platform, Kubernetes, Cloud Foundry, vSphere on AWS, Horizon, vRealize Cloud Suite, etc.) and initiative to create solutions that address customer business needs. - Ability to uncover business challenges and develop a documented solution to solve those challenges. - Experience in communicating with users, other technical teams, and product management to collect requirements, describe and clarify software product features, technical designs, and product strategy - Experience mentoring junior engineers to improve their skills, and make them more effective solutions delivery engineers - Experience influencing engineers in best practices within your team and the wider organization. - Proven ability to understand the requirements, functional and design specification for complex systems and/or cloud solutions. - A desire to work in an environment where you will both, teach and be taught. - Comfortable with git, jira and content management systems. - BS/BE/Masters in Computer Science or equivalent relevant experience. - Exposure to testing and deployment tools and CI/CD - Demonstrated ability to understand and solve deep technical issues - Demonstrable knowledge of Scrum/Agile practices - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail. - You have experience in Continuous Integration tools like Jenkins &/or Puppet -- *Naveen Tripathi* * Technical Recruiter* *Zenith tech Solutions* * Desk: **518 621 0048* *Fax:* *518-244-4977* <518-244-4977> *3 COMPUTER DR West,* *Suite #107* *ALBANY, NY 12205* *[email protected] <[email protected]>* *Hangout id: [email protected] <[email protected]>* *DISCLAIMER:* Note: This is not an unsolicited mail.
