SAP-Security Functional Consultant in SC

Working under the direction of the South Carolina Enterprise Information
System (SCEIS) Architecture, Design, Technology Lead in the Division of
State Information Technology (DSIT), candidates will provide security
administrator services related to the design, development, testing and
on-going maintenance of SAP software, which is currently being implementing
across South Carolina State government.  The major components of SAP
included are finance, budgeting, materials management, human resources and
payroll and enterprise portal modules.

The SAP Security Administrator requested under this SOW must have an
in-depth knowledge of the SAP security within SAP for public sector
organizations.  The SAP Security Administrator must be able to configure and
develop security User ID's, roles, and derived roles to function within SAP
modules and also a third party imaging application.  The security
administrator must have experience with unit testing, business process
procedure development, integration testing, etc. for security functions
within SAP.

*Specific Duties and Responsibilities*

·         Work with functional teams to define master and derived
security roles

·         Use SAP tools to create and maintain security roles

·         Work with deployment team to assure that roles are
appropriately assigned to end users

·         Maintain an auditable change management workflow for security
role modification requests and user access changes

·         Work with end-users and the Help Desk to quickly resolve user
security issues

·         Create, maintain and delete SAP user profiles according to
SCEIS procedures

·         Resolve SAP defects via SAP OSS (Online Support System) and
system errors via a working knowledge of the integration with other SAP

·         Escalate issues to Project Management in a timely manner

·         Assist in the design of new functionality as additional
requirements are identified by users/agencies

*Time-frame:  *Positions to begin effective on or about 09/29/2008; for
approximately one (1) calendar year.  Renewal for six (6) additional months
upon satisfactory performance by the candidate.


Positions will be based at the South Carolina Enterprise Information Systems
Project Office, Wade Hampton Building, Fourth Floor, in Columbia, South
Carolina.  Computer network access, phone, and access to printers, copiers,
and fax will be provided.  Meetings may be held at remote offices of DSIT or
other SCEIS stakeholders generally in the Columbia area.


*Skills and Abilities that the SAP Security Administrator resource should
possess include:*

   - Knowledge of SAP security administration as related to ECC, SRM, BW,
   HR/PR and EP with an emphasis in Human Resources and Payroll
   - Working knowledge of SAP's Profile Generator
   - Experience working with internal and external auditors in the
   identification and correction of security audit points within SAP
   - Facilitating workshops with the client to help develop security
   - Configuring security roles for FI/CO/GM/FM and MM/SRM modules, as well
   as BW, HR/PR and EP

   - Experience in SAP ERP 2005
   - Proven ability to deliver high-quality results
   - Experience in the development of project documentation (functional
   specifications, technical specifications, test plans, etc.)
   - Excellent written/verbal communication and presentation skills (with
   all levels of the organization) and a very good command of the English
   - Ability to work with diverse groups and work within the team
   - Ability to communicate complex ideas and subjects accurately, clearly
   and concisely
   - Ability to transfer knowledge to developers and functional teams
   - Advanced knowledge of Microsoft office software including: PowerPoint,
   Word, Access, Outlook and Excel
   - Proven experience in learning new software programs and apply that
   knowledge in practice
   - Proven organizational and interpersonal skills; ability to build and
   maintain partnerships within different business units
   - Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines, complete important time
   sensitive tasks, adapt quickly to last minute changes and manage multiple
