Lead webMethods Programmer/Analyst in Highland Park., Illinois.  Please

*Job Summary:*  The IS lead programmer/analyst - webMethods, development
team, is responsible for design and development of new
applications/systems/objects and enhancements to existing
applications/systems/objects.  Also responsible for level 2 support and
maintenance of existing applications/systems/objects.

*Role Summary: webMethods Developer*

Design/development/testing/support of message mappings to and from standard
and extended IDOC layouts

* *

Development of RFC "lookup" interfaces between R/3 and webMethods

* *

Configuration/implementation/support of SAP, File, and JDBC adapters

* *

Experience with webMethods Administrative tasks: Migrations, monitoring,
error handling, installations, service pack updates

* *

Extensive experience with the IS, Broker, and Trading Networks tools

* *

Knowledge of EDI (X12, UCS, VICS) and EDIINT implementations required on a
day-to-day basis.

* *

Design/development/testing/support of message mappings to and from EDI

* *

Experience with Java, JSP's, JavaScript, and HTML web pages

* *

Knowledge of UNIX and UNIX scripting required on a day-to-day basis

Knowledge of relational database preferred.  Preferably experience with

Knowledge of XI a plus.

Knowledge of pgp encryption and SFTP a plus.

*Essential Duties and Responsibilities:*


Facilitate sessions to gather requirements for new projects or enhancements
and document them in the form of a functional/technical specification.


Create technical designs that adhere to client standards and guidelines and
document them in the form of a functional/technical specification.


Develop technical objects that adhere to client standards and guidelines
with consideration given to readability, optimal performance,
maintainability, automated error handling, etc.


Lead and coordinate detailed walkthroughs of requirements, design, and code
to ensure maximum use of reusable modules, minimal impact on existing
applications and systems, the highest possible overall quality, etc.


Support testing efforts by conducting rigorous unit testing, assisting in
the set up and execution of integration/UAT test scenarios, and writing
detailed test plans.


Thoroughly document change controls so that objects can be migrated to QA,
UAT, and production environments.


Provide level 2 development supports for production applications.  This will
include a rotating on-call schedule outside of normal working hours.


Complete regular status reports, accounting for time spent on each project
and activity/task.


Identify training requirements and opportunities and devise an annual
individual training plan.


Lead and coordinate ongoing knowledge transfer sessions to ensure that there
are multiple resources with knowledge of each system, application, object,


Provide leadership and mentorship for employees and contractors at the
programmer/analyst level.

Job Requirements (Education, Work Experience, Certifications, Skills):

·         Bachelor's degree in business or information systems required.

·         Five to seven years in either of the following:

·         IT experience in business systems analysis in medium to
large-scale environments.

·         Business experience that includes working closely with IT in the
development and implementation of medium to large-scale integrated systems.

·         Previous experience in business process reengineering or process
improvement involving broad-based information systems and utilizing tools
and techniques to effect business change.

·         Previous experience with relational databases and SQL (Structured
Query Language).

·         Previous experience with procedural and object-oriented
programming languages.

·         Strong technical writing skills with an emphasis on proper

·         Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills and ability to
communicate with all management levels.

·         Strong oral communication skills and the ability to effectively
express and understand complex technical concepts.

·         Strong analytical, critical thinking and problem solving skills.

·         Mastery of basic Microsoft Office tools including Word, Excel,
PowerPoint, Outlook, Access, and Visio.
