RATE MAX is 55-.00 hourly inclusive 3 (THREE) Sr. Java Developers Positions are 6 months with extension likely Location St. Louis MO *Description* The client IT Department develops software supporting our automated infectious disease diagnostic instruments. This background/environment is a plus The successful candidate will work with the development team (3+ developers) to develop new features and to support and maintain existing code base using web-based Java J2EE technologies. At a minimum, they are looking for someone who is capable of working autonomously and with minimal handholding, once he/she understands the architecture and the nature of the work. *They put a premium on team interaction and communication, so the person must be a good communicator* and a team player. *Minimum Requirements* ** At least 8 years of software development experience *and **5 years UNITED STATES development experience** ** Minimum 4 years experience using Java and preferably 1 year of C++ experience. * ** At least 4 years of experience using relational databases such as Oracle / DB2 / SQL Server etc.* ** Minimum 3 years OO analysis and design experience using Design Patterns and UML. At least 2 years of experience using an OO Modeling tool such as Rational Rose or Together. * ** At least 4 years experience developing multi-tier and client-server applications.* ** Past experience with XML Parsing (using DOM or SAX)* ** 1 year of experience using Hibernate, Spring and JSF* ** Experience with a software development methodology such as RUP or XP* ** At least 1 year of experience in the use of JUnit based testing tools. * ** Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential. * ** Enthusiastic contributor with a real "go-getter, can-do" attitude who things proactively and delivers high quality software. * ** Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of the team. * ** A BS in Computer Science / Engineering or equivalent experience is required.
