You would work for various clients in different cities, get to know the client, and then finish the job from home. We are looking for CONSULTING TYPE PROFESSIONALS who have SAP MDM (including both versions 5.5 & 7.1) including at least 2 full lifecycle implementations. 7 positions open 3 of the positions will be located at a client site here in Alpharetta, GA. 2 would be assigned to Louisville, KY for a few months. 3 would be assigned to the North Suburbs of Chicago, IL. Additional client sites are being signed regularly. These are engagement roles and should have resources that are aware of the world of consulting. Start Date* soonest July 5 and latest 2nd week of August Duration: contracting duration is anticipated 6 months in duration Travel: for non-ATL projects, yes. No travel necessary for Alpharetta projects (want local resources – no travel necessary) – Depending on the client, travel can be 4 or 5 days per week on client site. Employees/ contractors will have to be flexible. POSITION TITLE: Enterprise Data Management Professional LOCATION: Atlanta, GA REPORTS TO: VP, Professional Services PURPOSE/REASON FOR POSITION: This position works directly with others in the organization and with clients to implement a Holistic Enterprise Data Management program that includes data strategy, data governance, master data process design, and appropriate data migration and/or MDM technology as defined by the Client. This person implements the appropriate strategies, procedures and technologies to assist the client achieve their ultimate business goals. This person must possess a high level of competence in systems analysis, knowledge of software design, relational and multidimensional database software, data relationships, and software product management and communicate that knowledge through highly honed consultative skills. PRINCIPAL FUNCTIONS ESSENTIAL TO THE POSITION: · Provides project management leadership including stakeholder alignment, scope functionality, budget controls, and resource and skill management. · Provides technical support to ensure problems are resolved in an expedient manner. · Serve as the subject-matter expert in holistic enterprise data strategy and solutions. · Work with client management and end-users, company managers and staff, partners and vendors to ensure maximum utilization of all hardware and software within area of responsibility. · Coordinates data related systems and programs to be implemented in a client’s environment. · Keeps management fully informed of all activities and problems within area of responsibility. SECONDARY FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION: · Assists in the diagnosis of system failures and aids in recovery. · Assist management in the handling of administrative matters by conferring with and advising co-workers regarding administrative policies and procedures. · Participate in the development of operational systems for monitoring productivity. · Develop, coordinate, and implementation of procedures to improve productivity. · Assist in planning, organizing, and coordinating hardware installation and maintenance. · Continue to increase knowledge of data management technologies and best practice techniques. · Keeps abreast of company goals, methods, and procedures and of current developments in technology and competitive vendor-supplied products. · Other duties as assigned. REQUIREMENTS OR SPECIFICATIONS FOR THE POSITION: · Bachelor’s degree. · Must possess knowledge (3+ years) of SQL, Oracle, and/or DB2 relational database systems. · Must possess knowledge (3+ years) of implementing one or more of the following: SAP MDM (including both versions 5.5 & 7.1) including at least 2 full lifecycle implementations. Business Objects Data Services (including Data Quality and Data Integrator). DESIRABLE QUALIFIACATIONS: Not mandatory · Graduate degree. · Experience with SAP Portals. · Experience with SAP BW and/or Business Objects BI multidimensional database systems. · Experience with SAP functional application modules. · Experience with data migration projects. · Experience in, and comfortable with, corporate dynamics. Other DESIRED Characteristics: · A seasoned, pragmatic professional who, by virtue of his/her experience and maturity, is at ease dealing with people at all levels in the organization. · A thinker with proven ability to execute. SPECIAL CONSIDERATIONS: · Out-of-town, overnight travel may be required. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS FOR THE POSITION: · Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time. · Excellent oral and written communication skills. · Ability to move from place to place within the building. · Good hearing and vision. · Maintain the ability to produce accurate copy/text at a rate of not less than 30 words per minute. This is customarily done on a personal computer. This requires dexterity and repetitive motion of the hands and fingers. · Ability to recognize if any hardware or software within area of responsibility is not functioning correctly and able to transmit that information in both verbal and written form. This requires the ability to read video monitors and printed output. · Ability to adjust work schedule to meet company needs. The Company has computer systems running 24 hours per day, 7 days a week. This requires the flexibility to alter assigned work periods and/or assigned workdays with little or no prior notice.
