TITLE: BI DATAWAREHOUSE ARCHITECT LOCATION: 200 PARK AVENUE DURATION: 6 MONTHS Main Function Barclays Group has committed investment to support a five-year programme to get Barclays Wealth to the top-tier of global wealth managers The Barclays Wealth mission is "To be the premier global wealth manager and advisor” Business Intelligence (BI) is one of the core 6 investments of this program. The work stream has been launched to understand BW’s profitability, value drivers and risk metrics in greater detail. Through the development of enhanced reporting metrics and a cost attribution process, BI will provide management with the tools to make more informed decisions The technical scope of Business Intelligence includes the implementation of the following components: · Interactive KPI dashboards, reports and ad hoc analysis tools · Event based actionable intelligence and workflow · Multidimensional risk adjusted profitability · Data warehouse and data marts This role is to serve as the Lead Database Architect / Information Modeller for Business Intelligence data warehouse and data mart deliverables. In this capacity, the individual will work with the BI Tech Lead and other technology and business counterparts to plan, design, build, test and deploy data warehouse and mart solutions to enable Wealth to achieve its Business Intelligence business objectives. Main Duties This individual will have responsibility to: 1. Create logical and physical data models using Enterprise Architect and ER Studio 2. Liaise with both business analysts and other business users to get requirements and then create logical models 3. Create functional specifications documents 4. Create detailed technical design documents 5. Liaise with offshore build team and provide specs/directions 6. Code packages, functions, stored procedures, views 7. Code review stored procedures and scripts written by other team members 8. Performance tuning of SQL- Oracle is MUST. SQL Server is a Plus 9. Financial Industry Experience is a MUST 10. Looking for someone, Min. 9-10 years of experience 11. ETL Experience needed 12.
