Title: Functional Lead - PeopleSoft Payroll
Location: Minneapolis (MN)
Job Term: *10* month Contract.
Skill & Job Description
This resource will work with Client resources to both execute their
assigned duties and mentor (provide knowledge transfer) to Client
resources. These duties and responsibilities will include the following.
· Lead Payroll department users through Fit/Gap and functional
analysis focused on the new application features delivered between v8.9 and
v9.2. Fit/Gap and functional analysis will also focus on application
features the Client is targeting for implementation.
· Work with Client’s Payroll department to configure and maintain
configuration of PeopleSoft North American Payroll application. Work with
Client’s Payroll department to compose and update a Configuration Workbook.
· Work with Client’s Payroll department to develop and execute a
data validation routine for the control and transactional data converted
through the Upgrade pass process.
· Work with Client’s Payroll departments to develop detailed test
plan and scripts which will cover Integration Testing, System Testing, and
User Acceptance Testing Phases. Also lead the Parallel Testing effort.
Participate and lead the testing phases for the PeopleSoft North American
Work with Client’s Payroll departments to compose Functional / Technical
Specifications for any customizations that are determined to be required.
These specifications will be expected to be complete functional designs
bordering on the technical; they will have to be composed with adequate
detail to ensure that they are actionable by the project’s developers
· Required. Functional 60% / Technical 40% break down of knowledge
and skills in the relevant applications areas of PeopleSoft North American
· Required. Depth of knowledge and experience configuring,
testing, and supporting PeopleSoft North American Payroll v9.1 including a
deep understanding of North American Payroll as it interacts with Time &
· Required. Minimum five years hands-on experience working with
PeopleSoft North American Payroll application. At least two full life
cycles upgrading to PeopleSoft HCM v9.1 with hands-on responsibilities for
PeopleSoft North American Payroll.
· Required. Familiarity with PeopleTools Application Designer and
basic PeopleTools knowledge. No development experience expected, but an
understanding of the primary records and technical processes that drive
PeopleSoft North American Payroll application. Experience performing data
loads via ExcelToCI.
· Required. Experience leading Fit/Gap analysis for PeopleSoft
North American Payroll application. Experience composing Functional
Specifications for customizations determined to be required from Fit/Gap
· Required. Familiarity and some level of exposure of PeopleSoft
HCM v9.2 covering PeopleSoft North American Payroll application.
· Required. Excellent communication skills, great attention to
detail, and strong organizational skills.
· Required. Experience and ability to work hand in hand with other
members of the project team. Willingness to share knowledge and mentor
· Preferred. Experience serving as PeopleSoft Functional Lead on at
least one HCM v9.2 Upgrade focusing on PeopleSoft North American Payroll
· Required. Depth of knowledge and experience in utilizing
PeopleSoft in a heavily unionized decentralized environment without
incorporating customizations to implement negotiated union contracts.
Experience using the delivered functionality in a unionized environment.
Required. Depth of knowledge and experience in the Fair Labor Standards
Act (FLSA) to ensure rules setup in Time and Labor and North American
Payroll are correct
