POSITION ACTIVITIES AND TASKS: Leads complex technical design and development activities: Works with business teams to understand business process flow and determine functional requirements. Provides analytical and technical leadership Leads or participates in new product reviews, tests, and pilots. Ensures Software Development Lifecycle Methodology is followed Ensures appropriate documentation of the code/object/application Participates in the creation, review and maintenance of development standards/best practices and ensures compliance Solution Responsibilities (involvement may focus on complex/high priority tasks): Manages project assignments (including junior members of the project team) effectively and efficiently. Analyzes, creates and/or reviews specifications Provides estimates and works with team members to refine their estimate as a deliverable of the specification Implementation/Migration Responsibilities: May review/approve CR’s prior to migration - reviews forms/attachments/approves Participates in migration meetings and leads migration for technical projects. Ensures successful development to support transition Communication/Status Reporting: Provide clear communication to appropriate stakeholders – project meetings, status reports Maintains currency with professional organizations and publications. Attends and participates in meetings and conferences as a representative of Client. Provides supervisory assistance: Assists in interview process (technical interview) – job applicants Provides feedback, coaching, training recommendations and mentoring, based on individual needs and objectives Assists managers in follow-up of project performance, objectives and metrics Design and provide training for internal resources. EXPERIENCE REQUIRED Type of Experience REQUIRED (include minimum number of years): 5+ years of demonstrated hands on experience in business application design, development for highly scalable applications. Experience should include: In-depth experience in SAP APO/SCM 7.0 (SNP, DP, PP/DS,CIF) and ECC 6.0 environments including communication methods between the two. Create technical specifications, produce executable code/application components and objects that satisfy functional specifications Experience providing mentoring to technical developers. Application design skills for highly scalable enterprise wide systems Performing root cause analysis (high complexity/high priority) KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES “KSAs” (or Competencies) Self-starter, works independently Demonstrated initiative, good judgment, and ability to achieve results Strong verbal and written communications skills, with an ability to express complex technical concepts in business terms.
