This person must have knowledge of all components of the warehousing
architecture including: technical infrastructure, data, ETL, BI, and
Metadata management. They will ensure that appropriate standards are
followed and the individual components of the architecture are compatible
with the architecture layers. Seven years of experience is desired.

Design, architecture and analysis of data requirements, supporting
infrastructure, ETL and metadata management, capacity plans, BI report
designs.

Responsibilities include:

• Identify architecturally significant requirements from client interviews

• Delivery mid-level architecture artifacts that include but not limited
to:

? Software components

? Integration (ETL) job design including job flow, file transfer, reference
data, logging, and recovery.

? BI report design: includes designing multiple tiers of the solution
(database, metadata, report, portal) with a focus on performance and agility

? Operational design (backup, recovery) to support SLA's

? Capacity Plans

• Design for Performance, not just functional requirements

• Translate capacity plans into action plans for infrastructure teams to
support growing storage and processing needs

• Influence and review data model; by identifying how the application works
you should be able to add non-functional design aspects to the model
(particularly partitioning and sort clauses).



*Required Experience:*

• Experience with MPP platforms; Vertica would be a huge plus

• Experience working with IBM stack of Data warehousing technologies (DB2,
Datastage, Cognos)

• Experience working with Ab Initio

• BI design; Cognos a huge plus. Experience should include designing
multiple tiers of the solution (database, metadata, report, portal) with a
focus on performance and agility and working through the various tradeoffs.

• Database Administration background would be a huge plus

• Capacity planning; ability to identify storage and capacity impacts of
design

• Proven performance engineering experience; knowing the best practices for
performance and an approach/methodology.

• Recent hands on data modeling experience

• Experience handing enterprise data integration initiatives



*Additional requirements include: *

• Excellent oral and written communication skills

• Strong experience working with design and development teams

• Strong problem solving and analytical skills

• Demonstrated experience working within a team environment (Agile/SCURM
desired)

• Proven initiative, ability to work with minimal supervision and adhere to
schedules

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business
Administration or equivalent work experience in similar work environment.

• Minimum of 7 years of IT work experience focused in business
intelligence, ETL and database development (complex SQL experience is
highly desired).







*Data Warehouse Developer – Senior Level*

*Location: Atlanta, Georgia (United States)*

*Duration: 12 Months*

A Data Warehouse Development & Support Team is being expanded

Must enjoy working in a team environment developing ETL solutions and
detailed designs

Must enjoy problem solving and working/communicating directly with business
partners

*Skills Required: *

·         *Experience translating business requirements to SQL-based ETL*

·         *Mainframe MVS JCL programming (5+ years)*

·         *Mainframe Job Scheduler experience (5+ years)*

·         *Experience with version control software*

·         *Experience with Data Architecture including knowledge of data
modeling techniques, entity relationship diagrams *

·         *Experience in detailed applications design that utilize SQL and
utilize the following databases:*

·         *Teradata, DB2, Oracle or SQL Server*

·         *Proficient testing skills – unit, system, and integration*

·         *Very good verbal and written communication skills, able to
articulate solutions*



*                Preferred:   *

·         ETL experience with Teradata database

·         Experience in requirements development for large projects

·         Teradata performance tuning skills

·         Experience with ChangeMan MVS code versioning software

·         Experience with Zeke MVS Job scheduler

·         Experience with IBM InfoSphere Information Server (DataStage)
Good knowledge of Unix shell scripts
