·       This position is a contract position for about 6 months and could
be extended.

·       Max bill rate (before our %) is: get the rate details they are
looking for on w2 Raju will decide while submission

·       The ideal incumbent will be have 5-7 years of experience.

·       Typical office hours of 9am-6pm.  Also the person coming into this
role will be on call and may have to work on some weekends.

*SQL Server Production DBA*


·         Administration and support on 150+ SQL Server instances in
multiple data centers including Production and Test Environment

·         Perform SQL Server installations, upgrade and patches in
multi-nodes Windows cluster environments.

·         Perform SQL Server installations, upgrade and patches in
multi-nodes Windows cluster environments.

·         Perform database performance analysis, tuning and disaster

·         Configure database backup and perform backup/recovery testing.

·         Provide technical recommendation and database support on assigned
projects with different vendors, application support and Windows admin

·         Provide DBA support on existing SQL Server environments including
change management, code releases, breakfixes and (7X24) on call support

·        Work with Enterprise Monitoring team to configure and review
database monitoring.

* Technical Skills & Experience*

·        Need a candidate having 10 years of IT experience with   5-7 years
experience as production SQL Server DBA in enterprise environment

·         Practical and solid experience with SQL 2000, SQL 2005, 2008 and
2008 R2 in multi-nodes Windows clustering environments

·        Must have recent hands on experience in the last 6 months with sql
server installation or add node installation in multi-nodes Windows
clustering environments

·        Extensive experience in T-SQL, Replication, Clustering, Database
Mirroring, Log Shipping, Backup and Recovery, High Availability,
SSIS/SSAS/SSRS, DTS, SQL Jobs, linked servers, SQL Profiler, PerfMon,
Policy Based Management and SOX audit

·         Knowledge of migrating databases residing on servers in one data
center to another and upgrading database platforms to newer versions

·         Experience in the Database Design, analysis, development,
administration and support of SQL Server in Production, QA, Test and
Development environments

·        Experience in install, patch, configure, monitor, maintain, and
performance tuning on production databases

·        Experience with supporting large database over 1 TB a plus

·        Experience working in secure DMZ's with multi tiered architecture
in a distributed environment.

·        Good Knowledge in DB monitoring Tool such as HP Openview and Idera
a plus

·        Good Knowledge to setup Policy Base Management with PowerShell

·         Good Knowledge to install SQL Server Reporting Services in scale
out deployment

·         IDERA Diagnostic Manager

·         SQL Server Analysis Service

·         Good understanding of the general firewall configuration concepts

* Personal Skills:*

·         This individual is required to work in a team environment and is
detail oriented with strong organization, written and oral communication
skills. Needs to be self motivated and has good analytical and problem
solving skills.
