*PROJECT SCOPE/TASKS* The scope of this project encompasses the following tasks: - *Configure and provision HP SAN (EVA and XP) on Red Hat Linux*. - Provide technical support / installation / configuration in Red Hat Linux - Provide support for the install, maintenance and customization of Red Hat Linux on HP Blades. - Provide support for the Red Hat Directory Server (RHDS) and the Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP) configuration, performance, maintenance and operation. - Evaluate impacts of new releases, develop test plans and implement into production environment. - Provide support in patch management and HP SA software installation automation scripting. - Assist in the development, implementation and execution of internal and industry standards, practices and processes for security, server hardware, operating system configuration and software. - Provide support for HP blade hardware configuration and HP Blade virtual connect. - Provide Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity planning and implementation support. - Train others in configuration and use of HP Virtual Connect, Red Hat Linux and Vmware. - Document all work completed. - Provide weekly status reports. - Develop Microsoft Project Timelines. *KNOWLEDGE TRANSFER* N/A *MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS* Refer to RFP 2009-5397, Section IV, Verticals 7.4 and 7.5 for minimum qualifications required for this engagement. In addition, the following qualifications are also required: - A minimum of fifteen years experience in all aspects of computer hardware configuration and maintenance engineering with areas of expertise in system integration, staging testing, installation, reconfiguration, relocation, and system administration. - HP SAN, HP Blade, and HP virtual Connect configuration and management - Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) certification - VMware certification - Accreditation as VMware Certified Professional/VMware Certified Design Expert (VCDX). - Previous system administration experience supporting private/public Retirement systems is desired. - The candidate must have good oral communication skills. - The candidate must have good written communication skills. *DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS* The following qualifications are desired: - A minimum of fifteen years experience in all aspects of computer hardware configuration and maintenance engineering with areas of expertise in system integration, staging testing, installation, reconfiguration, relocation, and system administration.
