*POSITION SUMMARY: *
The Service Delivery Manager (SDM) is responsible for delivering the
infrastructure aspects of an IT project on schedule and to specification.
The role functions in an environment that is complex, both technically and
The SDM leverages both technical knowledge, organizational, and project
management skills to coordinate project delivery, identify risk and avoid
issues, as well as facilitate resolution when issues do arise. The SDM
should expect to be assigned to multiple projects concurrently. An SDM
will interact with IT teams across multiple disciplines and business units
in an environment with evolving processes to which they will need to adapt
and assist Project Managers, Service Leaders and technical SMEs to
navigate. As such, they will be required to facilitate and lead change and
sponsor process improvement within the organization.
*PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: *
*REQUIRED SKILLS: In order of importance, list specific skills or talents
that a qualified incumbent should possess (i.e., management of large staff,
computer applications, subject knowledge, etc.)*
1. Previous leader or management experience in the Information
2. Working knowledge of Microsoft Project.
3. 5+ years of project management experience.
4. Experience with change management, risk management, and
quality assurance methods.
5. Familiarity with a variety of technologies: at least two
server operating systems,, storage, networking, security,
web/application/database software, virtualization, high availability,
disaster recovery. Work experience with at least two technologies
6. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
7. Ability to work in a fast-paced and complex environment with
