Job Title: Data Architect
Location: Austin, TX

Position Overview
The Data Architect is responsible for database management and support of
all business databases. The position maintains and supports, but not
limited to, Microsoft SQL Server, Access, SharePoint, SSRS reporting,
general reporting on the Association website and provides programming
support across the Association.

Essential Job Functions
· Administer iMIS, the TAC Association Membership System (AMS), and perform
updates, enhancements and internal database functions to the system as
needed

Build, configure and automate AMS maintenance queries and reports using SQL
Server Reporting Services and MSSQL
· Document and enforce AMS procedures to ensure the integrity of the data

Maintain and support Share Point, the Association Intranet Site including
Meeting Room Manager and meeting scheduler
Develop SharePoint solutions to meet TAC business needs
Train users on iMIS usage and reporting
Support and customize iMIS related applications for additional fields,
reports, exports and forms as requested
Maintain, create, automate and update Integration Services (SSIS) and ETL
processes
Support and assist with mass communication and tracking of communications
efforts related to the iMIS data
Set up and maintain standard reports and data sets using tools such as SQL
Server Reporting Services and process automation
Document, Design and develop custom reports and subsets of the data (as
needed) using tools such as SQL Server Reporting Services, MSSQL, MS
Access, and iMIS (IQA)
Support all types of iMIS data users (including data owner, data entry and
data collector) in customizations using Microsoft Office products in
conjunction with data from the iMIS database
Establish and maintain security access into iMIS system, SQL and other
Access databases as assigned
Assist with document, design, development, test and implementation of
database architectures, database solutions, backup strategies and business
continuity procedures.
Obtain requirements from subject matter experts, product owners, and
executives to clearly identify and design business entities, attributes,
and articulate data relationships.
Work closely with cross functional stakeholders to ensure buy-in of
proposed architectures
Be a functional leader for the design, security, and implementation of the
enterprise data warehouse and data integration efforts
Assist in defining and evolving best practices to ensure the quality of the
data warehouse
Enforce and maintain standards and consistency to all enterprise data with
a deep respect of internationalization and data sharing policies
Assist to Evangelize Data Governance by:
Promoting Data governance as a quality control discipline for assessing,
managing, using, improving, monitoring, maintaining, and protecting
organizational information
Assist in defining and evolving best practices to ensure the quality of the
data warehouse
Enforce and maintain standards and consistency to all enterprise data with
a deep respect of data privacy and data sharing policies
Instituting proactive practices, preventing issues with data so that the
Association can become more efficient using technology when necessary to
help aid in reporting processes
Decreasing the risk of regulatory reporting
Improving data security
