*Position: System Analyst* *Location: Columbia, MD* *Duration: 6+ Months* *Make sure the candidate has been in US for more than 3 years.* *Systems Analyst:* Seeking a systems engineer with 6-8yrs experience in Java/JEE development, production monitoring and performance tuning skills that works well with others, has strong verbal/written communication and organizational skills. The ideal candidate will also need to effectively guide cross-functional operation and development scrum teams to troubleshoot and help provide solutions to address OS, application and any other issues. Identifying underlying root causes and providing recommendations or solutions for long term permanent fixes will be a success in the role. Exceptional critical thinking, problem solving and troubleshooting skills are essential. This is not for development position but for an operations/performance team. · Works with external customers and internal support and build teams to determine how best to leverage tools and techniques involving infrastructure as code, configuration management and other DevOps-type techniques to improve delivery quality, speed and experience. · Partners with SDM, Delivery teams and Support to find opportunities to reduce manual updates/changes needed to complete deployments. · Supports Professional Services engagements with ‘engineering muscle’ and technical consultative assistance (Sr.) to help our customers design systems that are purpose-built and well suited to their target infrastructure. · Seeks to build reusable, repeatable toolsets, components and modules for future use with other clients where possible. · Responsible for the full system lifecycle including configuration and code deployment in different operational environments. · Deep dive analysis of systems performance and tuning during all phases of the software development lifecycle. · Documenting and reporting Infrastructure and application code solutions to Middleware administrators and development teams. · Work on sizing systems implementations for Java based applications. · Performs capacity planning for incremental as part of projects, peak season operation and strategic planning. · Work with performance testing resources to improve the effectiveness and repeat-ability of the Software release process. · Middleware and application technology on Linux/Unix and windows platforms. *Qualifications:* · Hands on Java and JEE development experience of highly scalable applications . · Experience in performance diagnostics, capacity planning, performance tuning, performance monitoring of JVM and JBoss SOA-P servers on Linux and windows environments. · Working experience with Agile software development practices. · Resource usage monitoring for physical servers, application servers, or databases. · Working knowledge of Linux operating systems and their underlying components. · Experience with production deployment, documentation, monitoring and operational support for Enterprise class applications. · Solid understanding of High Availability architecture and Disaster Recovery capabilities · Good technical knowledge of application networking, firewalls, load balancing applications, operating systems (Linux and Windows) and security · Experience with Monitoring tools like NewRelic · Experience with tools like Splunk · Marklogic No SQL experience is a plus · Deep knowledge of IaaS platform(s) - primary focus on AWS, possible Azure, Google, VMWare · One or more configuration management tools with strong/deep knowledge (Chef, Docker, Puppet, Ansible) · Strong understanding of infrastructure automation tooling (terraform, cloud formation, others…) · Strong understanding of application deployment/configuration processes *Desired Skills and Experience:* · Knowledgeable of cloud architecture, networking, system administration, and security best practices · Hands on experience with infrastructure tools such as AWS, VMware, Docker, and Swarm · Extensive knowledge about APIs, RESTful services and how they can be used to integrate with AWS · Experience designing and scripting “self-healing” cloud architecture · Familiarity with the Atlassian toolset including Jira and Confluence · Scripting, Unix/linux shell and other skills are a major plus. *Education or Experience:* · B.S. in Computer Science, MIS, or equivalent work experience · Minimum of 5 years’ experience in related field · Experience working in an on-call rotation *Regards,* *Kiran,* *StreamIT* *kir...@streamitechnologies.com <kir...@streamitechnologies.com>* *Phone: 267-328-4043 <267-328-4043>* *GT: kiran.ambro...@gmail.com <kiran.ambro...@gmail.com>* -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Resumes" group.
