*Responsibilities:*
· Develop technical and functional understanding of enterprise data
specific to our environment, as well as how it is consumed/delivered,
whether via web service, file system, or database object.
· Manages automation of file processing as well as all ETL
processes within a job workflow.
· Ensures data quality throughout entire ETL process.
· Develop and deploy ETL jobs with reliable error/exception
handling and rollback framework.
· Adapt ETL code to accommodate changes in source data and new
business requirements
· Manage software upgrades, capacity planning and system
optimization.
· Perform unit testing, system integration testing, and assist with
user acceptance testing.
· Document the ETL detailed design and test results.
· Prioritize development and enhancement requests.
· Collaborates with subject matter experts, users, and other team
members to define and execute cross-functional data movements for all
aspects of our business.
*Skill Requirements:*
- Bachelor’s Degree in computer science or equivalent experience required
- 5-10 years’ experience in managing data lineage and performing impact
analyses
- Excellent ETL design and documentation skills
- 5-10 years’ experience with ETL tool development; Pentaho Data
Integration (PDI) is STRONGLY preferred
- 5+ years of experience with Oracle 9, 10 or 11g
- Expert ability in SQL and PL/SQL
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and adapt to a constantly changing
environment
- Self-starter with the ability to both work independently and
collaborate with team members
- Ability to translate ideas and business requirements into fully
functioning ETL workflows
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to
articulate and document processes and workflows for use by various
individuals of varying technical abilities
