I now have the problem that I cannot access my passwords anymore and there 
is no information on whether or when Red Hat will fix this issue.

Isn't it possible to work around the problem for CentOS/RHEL 5 users ?
Even just to patch my CentOS/RHEL 5 patches temporarily until Red Hat 
comes up with a fix ?
