New issue 1664 by xfyanghot: Chinese characters in code cannot be shown correctly
http://code.google.com/p/reviewboard/issues/detail?id=1664 *NOTE: Do not post confidential information in this bug report.* What version are you running? 1.5 Beta 1 What's the URL of the page containing the problem? http://myreview:9999/r/11/diff/#index_header What steps will reproduce the problem? 1. create a file containing some chinese characters in svn Repository 2. check out the file and make some modification and then do post-review 3. go to reviewboard and click "view diff" What is the expected output? What do you see instead? Chinese characters were expected to be correctly displayed in the side-by- side "view diff". Unfortunately, they were not. English words were nicely shown without problem. What operating system are you using? What browser? Windows XP. IE7, Firefox. Please provide any additional information below. The files in svn repository were UTF-8 encoded, as well as the generated diff file. And the encoding of the page in browser were set to UTF-8, too. Chinese characters outside the side-by-side "view diff" were correctly shown, e.g, those in Summary, in Comments, or in reviews.
