New issue 3287 by bcel...@gmail.com: JavaError "Cannot parse ..." for the search syntax is not handled gracefully
http://code.google.com/p/reviewboard/issues/detail?id=3287

What version are you running?
1.7.20

What's the URL of the page containing the problem?
/r/search/?q=TEST%3A%3ASEARCH

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Use double colon as a searched phrase

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
At least a detailed explanation for the incorrect search term/phrase is shown to the user. I was not able to convert this double colon query to a syntactically correct form. Instead a 500 error page is loaded.

What operating system are you using? What browser?
Irrelevant.

Please provide any additional information below.
