It's a black box on our end too. We send an e-mail to the server, and if
there's an error in the process, we get an error back that we log. If there's
no log entry, then from our point of view, the e-mail went out fine.

There are many errors that can occur within the mail server without us knowing
about it. This sounds like one of them. I'd see if the admins of the mail
server can check their logs for any attempts to e-mail from this server, and
see what the problem may be.

If this was working fine with the old RB server, with all the same settings,
then it sounds most likely that there's a configuration change that needs to be
made somewhere with the mail server or possibly the DNS server (if there's any
DNS-level verification going on).
