kaisun2000 edited a comment on issue #775: Add HttpRoutingDataReader URL: https://github.com/apache/helix/pull/775#issuecomment-591057922 Better to throw if _metaDataStoreRoutingData upon instantiation successfully still have empty (invalid condition). Throw early easy for user to identify the problem. This instantiation happens only one time. Later usage would be all over the places, even it is ideally still in Helix Java API. The fix can be in the TrieRoutingData and not necessarily blocking this diff.
