We have reproduced it with this test: https://github.com/apache/pinot/issues/9897 I guess what might have happened is that (I didn't check Helix code though): 1. Helix gets notified by ZK watcher about an IS change 2. While processing the IS change, another IS change happens 3. Helix resets the ZK watcher on IS, but missed the last IS change -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
