Patch Set 1: Is there a JIRA for this? I'm not opposed to this as a workaround but this seems like a stopgap and it would be nice to have a more robust solution. It would be nice if we could remove the dependence on the main python.org. The information that we're getting in JSON format is available in a HTML format on all mirrors (https://www.python.org/dev/peps/pep-0503/).
