But it's worth adding here that even if IMPALA-4978 is fixed, there will be cases where it's not possible to get the FQDN via getaddrinfo(). So, fixing IMPALA-4978 will of course alleviate this problem, but the problem may still show up in certain cases. In those cases, users still need to fall back to this workaround.
