 Review comment:
   You set `times[i]` and `values[i]` to null every time, so I can not see the 
point of `if (times[i] == null)`.
   By the way, I think it is not necessary to copy the data out of the 
ByteBuffer, you may just get the value from the origin ByteBuffer (except the
