It was more meant to be a friendly reminder that we'll need to visit it (though I'd forgotten we decided in planning that it'd come after). I'd been thinking a bit about the different hierarchical caching strategies we might need to worry about for different Sentry scopes, and it slipped from my mind that thundering herd during DML is probably a common case. From a caching perspective, you're right. It is all the same, and it is just an optimization on the cache. -- To view, visit http://gerrit.cloudera.org:8080/12833 To unsubscribe, visit http://gerrit.cloudera.org:8080/settings Gerrit-Project: kudu Gerrit-Branch: master Gerrit-MessageType: comment Gerrit-Change-Id: Idaefacd50736f1f152dae34e76778e17b2e84cbe Gerrit-Change-Number: 12833 Gerrit-PatchSet: 5 Gerrit-Owner: Alexey Serbin <[email protected]> Gerrit-Reviewer: Adar Dembo <[email protected]> Gerrit-Reviewer: Alexey Serbin <[email protected]> Gerrit-Reviewer: Andrew Wong <[email protected]> Gerrit-Reviewer: Hao Hao <[email protected]> Gerrit-Reviewer: Kudu Jenkins (120) Gerrit-Reviewer: Tidy Bot (241) Gerrit-Comment-Date: Wed, 27 Mar 2019 19:02:46 +0000 Gerrit-HasComments: Yes
