Change subject: update website for 1.18.0 release ...................................................................... Patch Set 1: (1 comment) http://gerrit.cloudera.org:8080/#/c/23150/1/releases/index.md File releases/index.md: http://gerrit.cloudera.org:8080/#/c/23150/1/releases/index.md@26 PS1, Line 26: : * **[Kudu 1.16.0](1.16.0/)** was released on Apr 11, 2022. <!-- PREVREL: DO NOT REMOVE --> : * [Kudu 1.16.0 Documentation](1.16.0/docs/) : * [Kudu 1.16.0 Java API docs](1.16.0/apidocs/) : * [Kudu 1.16.0 C++ API docs](1.16.0/cpp-client-api/) De facto, 1.16.0 isn't supported because it's not even possible to build it due to Gradle's inability to fetch several packages from old URLs where they aren't available anymore. And even if addressing this by cherry-picking of several changelists from the 'branch-1.18.x' or 'master' branches, there are many high and mid-level CVEs in the third-party components, especially for Java. With that, it's very strange to see it the 'on-going support' list, and that was source of confusion for a few people as one can see on the #kudu-general Slack channel. I'd suggest removing 1.16.0 release from the list of 'ongoing support', moving it into the 'Archived releases'. Probably, it makes sense doing so for 1.17.0 release as well. -- To view, visit http://gerrit.cloudera.org:8080/23150 To unsubscribe, visit http://gerrit.cloudera.org:8080/settings Gerrit-Project: kudu Gerrit-Branch: gh-pages Gerrit-MessageType: comment Gerrit-Change-Id: I0a5ad20885000570b38b5002632a021289b1b036 Gerrit-Change-Number: 23150 Gerrit-PatchSet: 1 Gerrit-Owner: Abhishek Chennaka <[email protected]> Gerrit-Reviewer: Alexey Serbin <[email protected]> Gerrit-Reviewer: Attila Bukor <[email protected]> Gerrit-Reviewer: Marton Greber <[email protected]> Gerrit-Comment-Date: Thu, 10 Jul 2025 03:54:32 +0000 Gerrit-HasComments: Yes
