Rebased onto master now that #1122 and #1136 are in, so the branch is down to its own commits; the only conflicts were the YUNIKORN-3360 test alignment, resolved toward master. The review fixes are in the last commit (b0a2830). While rebasing I found the description's claim that the `deallocateAsk` guard closes a live pending-resource leak was already stale — YUNIKORN-3360 rejects an untracked rollback before it gets there — so the guard is now described (and its commit reworded) as defence-in-depth, and the release note drops that sentence. -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
