OPEN CALL, video documentation on performance #1- PERFORM
We are looking for video- documentation on performance from the 70s - today. If you have material that you whish to display, please send us a short description of it (max A4 page). And please attach some video- stills. We will make a selection of the material. The selection will be a part of our archive- exhibition of video- documentation on performance from the Nordic and Baltic Countries. The archive is put together in collaboration with AV- ARKKI fi, FilmForm se, KunstiHoone EE and others. Current work from students of Trondheim Art Academy will also be on display. During the week we will focus on the concept of performance. The term is being used in many different contexts and at the same time it seems that it is used in a less and less précis way. This might not be a problem. However it is interesting to get an overview of how different artist operate with term on the performance field. So the week will offer participants and the audience complex understanding of the concept of performance. During the week a Nordic & Baltic workshop, seminar, showcase, magazine release around the concept of performance will take place. PERFORM is a part of FUSK (Festival for Uetablerad SceneKunst). FUSK is an informal arena for LIVE- ART in progress. It has turned into an important arena for experimental performance art. The intention is to offer the local- scene as well as our guests a possibility to show their work and exchange experience cross institutions and groups.
