The Concise Data Definition Language (CDDL), standardized in RFC
8610, provides "control operators" as its main language extension
point. RFCs have added to this extension point in both an
application-specific and a more general way.

The present document defines a number of additional generally
applicable control operators for text conversion (bytes, integers,
printf-style formatting, and JSON) and for an operation on text.

This document is a product of the Concise Binary Object Representation
Maintenance and Extensions Working Group of the IETF.

This is now a Proposed Standard.

STANDARDS TRACK: This document specifies an Internet Standards Track
protocol for the Internet community, and requests discussion and suggestions
for improvements. Please refer to the current edition of the Official
Internet Protocol Standards (https://www.rfc-editor.org/standards) for the
standardization state and status of this protocol. Distribution of this
memo is unlimited.
