I'm just starting out with the Altera Cyclone V GX SoCkit hopefully to move to OpenCV development. I'm trying to find out if there is any known way to attach a VDU to the kit, the arrow version has a convenient VGA port on the board but not on the Altera version. Is there any sort of video output? I have Angstrom version 2014.12 installed. I have seen that there appears to be two potential hardware paths:- 1) via the 3G SDI ports, requiring a 3G SDI to HDMI converter plus a HDMI to DVI adapter plug, with a similar reverse path with a 3G HDMI to SDI converter. 2) via the HSMC port, with something like the Terasic DVI-HSMC card. I'm trawling through all the documentation and have seen there is video sync converter IP available but do I have to delve into the device tree somehow to see if it is instantiated? I'm guessing that I might be wasting my time by choosing one of the above two choices, as no matter which I opt for, sod's law says the other will be enabled!!
