what does this do?
Is the clock-bridge like a transparent bridge that can be optimized? Or is it something that's actually visible in the devicetree? Can you provide an example of where this is needed?

I'm perfectly fine with merging this, I just like to know the rationale (I forgot why it was ignored in the first place...)
