Phil,
So I'm not really good at this stuff - Would it be possible for you to give me a little
help/instructions with "Just add the altera layer:
https://github.com/kraj/meta-altera/tree/master/recipes-kernel/linux";
Thanks,
Janet

G'day Janet,

It's a bit of a moving target and depends on what version you are targeting.

this has some tips.

There's also some books: eg

Thanks in advance.

So, I'm wanting to boot from the QSPI on my Altera SoC Cyclone V Evaluation
board. I'm at GSRD v16.1 and the only instructions I have found are for GSRD
v13.1 - Booting from QSPI which refers to GSRD v13.1 Using Yocto Source Package.

My question is -- is it still valid to use the 2013.11 Yocto Source Package?

I went to http://releases.rocketboards.org/release and did not see any other
"linux-socfpga-gsrd-XX.X-src.bsx" files or did I just miss it?

I'm using angstrom 2016.16
Just add the altera layer:
https://github.com/kraj/meta-altera/tree/master/recipes-kernel/linux

Or roll your own.

The mainline kernel / uboot pretty much has everything needed for the C-V's now.
