It would also be helpful to know what "barfed" means.  I assume that means
there was a python dump??

If you were using the Virtual Machine Manager, the dump is not apparent (it
shows up in xend.log though, IIRC).  If you use the virt-install tool from
command line, you should get the python dump on the console.  Maybe it will
give you a pointer...
