I am wondering if hdaps support can be fixed in U1.
The following article seems to apply.

Running 2.6.18-37.el5, if I attempt to ...
modprobe hdaps
I see
hdaps: LENOVO ThinkPad T60 detected, inverting axes
hdaps: initial mode latch is 0x01
hdaps: setting ec_rate=250, filter_order=2
hdaps: fake_data_mode set to 0
hdaps: device successfully initialized.
input: hdaps as /class/input/input6
hdaps: driver successfully loaded.
However /sys/block/sda/queue/protect does not exist so I am not able to
park the drive.
