I got the debuginfo packages installed. is there any documentation on
how to use it.

Do you mean you want to install the debuginfo packages for the kernel, 
or the separate kernel-debug kernel that has a bunch of debug options 
enabled?

debuginfo packages are all available at ftp.redhat.com (see 
/etc/yum.repos.d/rhel-debuginfo.repo) but separate debug kernels weren't

being built at 5.0 GA time.
