This is a known issue with RHEL5. I believe it's mentioned in the release notes. If you look at your install media, you have comps-*.xml, which contain group info. For example, look at Client/repodata/comps-rhel5-client-core.xml for a set of groups you can use.
This is eventually supposed to be fixed. Right now, even system-config-kickstart is broken. rk ________________________________ From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Collins, Kevin [MindWorks] Sent: Monday, June 04, 2007 12:23 PM To: [email protected] Subject: [rhelv5-list] What's up with anaconda-ks.cfg Hi, I am just starting to play around with RHEL 5. I went thru my 1st install on Friday and discovered something I did not like: many of the options selected during install were incorrectly represented in /root/anaconda-ks.cfg. My main concern is the "%packages" section contained ONLY "@virtualization" and non of the other package groups I selected. In addition, the following 2 lines are included even though I selected no shadow, no MD5 and disabled selinux support: authconfig --enableshadow --enablemd5 selinux --enforcing My primary concern is the %packages selection - any recommendations on how to get the groups I selected? I don't really want to include every package name.
