the odd part is:
when yum-updatesd is restarted, all pending updates get applied, but tomorrows
updates don't get applied.
as if yum-updatesd didn't remember to remove a lock file.

no, that box is unchecked.
what would cause that option to be checked?

no, do_download and do_download_deps were left alone.
i interpreted those options as to pertaining to the "just download and let me
pick when to install" method.
should both of those also be set to "yes"?
