it's blown up or so.
what options to xen are you using. Better, what's the grub stanza?
Is this integrated on the mobo?
Are you using intelfb|i810fb, whichever drives this?
What happens when you boot to runlevel 3?
The system (and display) works fine with the normal kernel.
But when using Xen, I can't even switch to another console using
CTRL-ALT-F1, I can only use the reset button.
Any ideas of what's causing this symptom and if there is a solution?

Do you have the option of installing some other graphics card?
I've had several machines with Intel graphics: an Ipex Pentium III, Dell
GX270 and others, and most recently an IBM Thinkcentre which has this:
00:02.0 VGA compatible controller: Intel Corporation 82865G Integrated
Graphics Controller (rev 02)
which I've more-or-less got working (framebuffer under Xen no less), but
the Dell defeated me.
On the thinkcentre this works:
07:21 [EMAIL PROTECTED] ~]$ sudo find /etc/ ! -type d -print0 | sudo xargs
-0 grep intelfb
/etc/modprobe.d/blacklist:#blacklist intelfb
/etc/modprobe.d/blacklist-compat:blacklist intelfb
/etc/sysconfig/modules/local.modules:for i in intelfb ;do
/etc/sysconfig/hwconf:driver: intelfb
/etc/modprobe.conf:options intelfb [EMAIL PROTECTED]
07:21 [EMAIL PROTECTED] ~]$
07:21 [EMAIL PROTECTED] ~]$ cat /etc/sysconfig/modules/local.modules
#!/bin/sh
for i in intelfb ;do
modprobe $i
done
07:22 [EMAIL PROTECTED] ~]$
