It depends on the cards and what video drivers you are using. I have
found that it worked for my intel video cards OTB in run-level-5 but I
have heard that nvidia and ati needed other playing around [AND IF YOU
ARE USING THEIR KERNEL BINARIES YOU NEED TO HAND EDIT ANYWAY].
No this will be a strictly non-proprietary setup, even though one of the cards is ati. I've managed to remotely get in and change settings with an XLive CD seeing as how it's miles away from me! So it's running with both in now. They had a black screen until I'd carried this out for them, and I was curious if there was a better way to do this than my brief note above.
